Louise is a wonderful example of all that a nurse should be. Kind, skilled, compassionate, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. A real professional. Earlier this year, after 6 years of searching, my primary tumor was finally located. The operation to remove it also involved the removal of a tumor from the liver. The process was scary, with a significant risk factor. Louise was brilliant. She sat and patiently explained the process, the possible complications, and the recovery challenges. Most of all she listened to my fears and worries. Her advice was simple, straight forward and in easy to understand language. She met me when I went in for the operation, walked up to the ward with me and gave constant reassurance. She even found time to come and see me afterward. She is simply one in a million! I have been seeing Louise now for 6 years. These days I see her for injections every 3 weeks. Each time she is good-humoured, friendly and extremely good at her job. Louise is a DAISY Nurse for her dedicated and committed service to her patients.
