May 2012 Honoree
louise story, RN, MSN
Nominated by a Family Member
Louise took the time to console (20 minutes) my mom when she was so teary-eyed and discouraged about having to go home with a bag. Louise cheered her up, dried her tears, and gave her “positives” to think on. She’ll never know just how much that really meant to me and my family. Louise achieved a breakthrough in mom’s recovery by perseverance, determination and patience. Louise has a great bedside manner, great personality and a good sense of humor!
Nominated by a Patient
During my stay, I was treated by many different staff members. When Louise was on duty, I breathed a sigh of relief. To me, Louise is an individual who is in nursing to truly help people. She made me feel like a person again, regaining my dignity and self-confidence which was so low. Please express my gratitude to Louise as well as those in charge of her career movement. I truly miss Louise. She’s my DAISY nurse.
