Lourdes has dedicated her nursing career to St. Francis Medical Center for more than 25 years. She exemplifies "Our Mission is Life" daily, welcoming every patient, family member, and visitor with open arms and a bright smile. She is consistently acknowledged by patients and families and has successively been honored at our Superstar events.

Lourdes extends expert-level emergency nursing care. Her greatest strengths are efficiently and effectively providing treatment for our pediatric population and triaging patients as they come into the ED. She has the ability to instinctively know when a patient is critically ill or when a situation is concerning and provides immediate and appropriate response. Lourdes extends compassionate service, advocates for the safety of patients, families, and visitors, and is passionate about ensuring the best outcomes for those in her care.

According to her supervisor, Liz Waack, "Lourdes is the nurse we all strive to be every day, and she does it consistently with ease. She is an excellent role model for her peers, is well respected, and is utilized as a department resource regularly. We are so appreciative and grateful Lourdes has chosen to dedicate her career to the SFMC Emergency Department. I look forward to working with Lourdes for hopefully another 25 years!
