During the sixteen months, my daughter was receiving treatment at Providence Children's Hospital, Lourdes was the rock that I needed just when I felt like the very foundation beneath my feet was falling away like quicksand. From the first time I met her, she was a huge wealth of information and explained everything in detail. I recall an especially difficult day in which I had cried excessively and Lourdes sat by my side and told me a funny story about her daughter. In no time, we were both laughing and the look on Lourdes's face told me that she knew what my heart was feeling and wanted to do everything to help me through the pain I was enduring. Lourdes is a true angel and has a heart of gold. We will forever be grateful for her strength and kindness.
