Luella held my hand throughout the whole entire procedure and helped me get through it.
When I came into the ICU, I was alone and afraid. I needed to have a central line put in and I was very scared. Luella held my hand throughout the whole entire procedure and helped me get through it. Her kindness and warmth made the experience much less difficult.

Luella was so amazing. I arrived at the emergency room straight from a doctor's appointment one afternoon. I was alone and scared. Normally I have a support person with me. I received a serious diagnosis and was sent to the intensive care unit. The ICU adds an extra layer of great to a hospital stay. Plus, I was alone as stated. I had to have a procedure done that really scared me. Instantly, my nurse Luella saw this and came to my side. Without stopping a bit, she picked up my hand and gently squeezed it. At that moment I felt safe.

The procedure was not a quick one, but she recognized that I needed her there without a single word exchanged. When I had more fear, she sensed it and gave me an extra hand squeeze or words of encouragement when appropriate. I was fortunate to receive care from Luella for more than one night. My stay was much easier and smoother after her kindness and support put me in a good mind frame. Luella is amazing.
