When my daughter got sick in the NICU at 3 weeks old, we felt helpless. When she was released from the NICU TPN\Lipid dependent with a G-tube 4 months later, we ended up with a nursing company for about 6 months and they were awful. I got a hold of York Home Health and was put in contact with Luann and our lives were changed from then on. When you go through detrimental things with your children, you feel things you have never felt and show emotions you never knew you had. When you are in the medical field, especially nurses and doctors, understanding and realizing these feelings with patients is so important. Luann does just that; she understands. When Luann walked into our lives, from that day on, we felt safe, understood, and listened to. We knew there and then that we had someone who would have my daughter's back and her best interest at heart. I knew that I could take my guard down around her because she was not one that I needed to be tough or strong in front of; she actually cares about the family. If an issue ever arose, she was always right there to help. Luann came into our lives as a nurse but has continued on as family. My daughter is almost three now and gets so excited when her "Ann" comes to see her!
