Lucas was the nurse for my husband. They had called and said my husband had taken a turn for the worse. The doctors felt he probably wouldn't make it. Lucas worked very hard giving fluids, meds, blood products (blood, plasma, and platelets) to stabilize him so he could go and get a CT scan. They had to combine all the IVs on 1-2 poles to get him down to imaging. Lucas kept the whole family updated. Then they gave my husband anesthesia and put him on a ventilator before heading to radiology to do a procedure to stop the bleeding. Lucas went down to help with that procedure too. They slowed the bleeding. My husband has been slowly improving. I feel Lucas was a big part of his improvement and being stable and still alive! Very professional!
