My son, S, who is 6-weeks-old, was referred by a doctor to come to Dayton Children's after exhibiting a fever at an after-hours clinic. Lucas was his main nurse and we knew right away that with Lucas he was in good hands. Lucas made sure S was always comfortable and talked to him like he was his best buddy. That not only seemed to comfort S, but also me and my mother who was with us. Lucas checked multiple extremities to find the best place to put S's IV, so that he wouldn't have to poke him multiple times.
Lucas was just all around friendly, knowledgeable and very professional with a side of silliness when dealing with my little one. The staff was wonderful to us, but Lucas definitely stood out like a shining star in the middle of a very sleepless night.
