She recognized what was happening with our babies, acted quickly to get them the care they needed, communicated with us in the moment, and continued to return to our room to fill us in.
Gabee is undoubtedly the sweetest, most helpful nurse. I never have to worry about receiving good care when she is my nurse. She goes above and beyond, ensuring her patients are well taken care of. I remember her personally from my daughter, who was born last November. We couldn't get our sweet baby to eat, and she came into our room, sat us down, and walked us through exactly what she was doing to help her eat. I will always remember how helpful she was. This year, when I arrived as a pregnant patient at 22 weeks, I knew I needed the kind of care Gabee provided. Unfortunately, we lost our son during delivery, and prior to that, she was our nurse. She exceeded all our needs, said all the right things, held my hand, guided me through my delivery, and even captured the best pictures of our son that we will cherish forever. Not only is Gabee an excellent nurse; she is a kind soul, and if half of the world were as kind as she is, it would be a better place. We will never forget our nurse Gabee and hope she receives the appreciation she deserves. We love you.

Gabee took care of my family on our first night following the delivery of our twins. After such a dreamy day in the birthing center and moving to postpartum, enjoying the initial hours of being a family of four, we faced some very scary moments overnight regarding the health of the babies. Looking back now, much of that night feels like a blur. We remember the babies being taken from our room and being informed about a "critically low blood sugar, " "breathing concerns, " and that the NICU team was getting involved. But truthfully, what we remember most clearly is Gabee and how amazing she was. She was like a rock in a storm. She was there for us at a time when we were most scared. She recognized what was happening with our babies, acted quickly to get them the care they needed, communicated with us in the moment, and continued to return to our room to fill us in. Somehow, Gabee was able to be everything for everyone in those moments, and I find myself struggling to express our gratitude for her - her kindness, clinical skill, gentleness, and care on that frightening night. Gabee, thank you from the bottom of all four of our hearts. We live our lives within the four walls of the hospital, and it is easy to lose sight of the life-changing days we get to be a part of - but I will never forget that night, and I will never forget you. Thank you for it all.
