Lucrecia is consistently on top of every aspect of her role. She is highly responsible, attends all required meetings, and actively contributes thoughtful input. She speaks up when issues arise and works diligently to resolve concerns, always keeping patient safety and staff well-being at the forefront of her decisions.
Her calm, approachable, and personable demeanor makes her a trusted leader and colleague.
One particularly impactful example of Lucrecia’s excellence involved the identification of a critical patient safety issue following a delivery, when a patient did not receive RhoGAM immediately postpartum due to an order-entry issue. Lucrecia promptly recognized the concern and took decisive action.
She escalated the issue to the provider and the laboratory, thoroughly supported the bedside nurse, and personally spoke with the patient to explain the situation and answer questions. She then followed the appropriate chain of command and escalated the concern to MCH leadership to ensure the issue was fully addressed and to prevent future occurrences.
What sets Lucrecia apart is her ability to look beyond the immediate situation and consider the broader system implications. She consistently demonstrates forward-thinking leadership, ensuring that processes support safe, high-quality care for all patients while also protecting and empowering staff. Her advocacy reflects integrity, accountability, and deep compassion.
