Lucy possessed a genuine passion for patient care. Her warm smile, calming demeanor, and compassionate approach immediately put my mother at ease during what was a challenging and uncertain time for her and her family.
Throughout my mother’s time in the hospital, Lucy consistently went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my mother’s comfort and well-being. From the moment they introduced themselves, it was evident that Lucy possessed a genuine passion for patient care. Her warm smile, calming demeanor, and compassionate approach immediately put my mother at ease during what was a challenging and uncertain time for her and her family. Lucy knew exactly what my mother needed to be more comfortable and made sure that we as a family were able to be with my mother as much as possible and uninterrupted. RN even went so far as to request a bigger room to accommodate our immediate family in my mother’s last days.

Lucy consistently provided emotional support, offering words of encouragement during difficult moments. She sat with my mother in the night and would talk with her and listen to stories about her family. Her empathy and genuine concern for my mother’s well-being, as well as the immediate family, extended beyond the physical aspects of healing, making a profound impact on the family. Furthermore, Lucy displayed incredible professionalism and dedication to her profession right up until my mother took her last breath. She called the family as requested when it was near the end and allowed us a few brief moments with our mother. When the time came for my mother to pass over, Lucy gave my mother a kiss on the forehead and told her goodbye. Lucy embodies the true spirit of nursing excellence. She is not only an exceptional caregiver but an inspiring role model for aspiring nurses. Her unwavering commitment to providing high-quality compassionate care has left an indelible mark on our hearts and has undoubtedly impacted the lives of countless other patients.

There was a time when all other family members had left the room and it was just my grandma and I and she told me not to worry because she knew she was in good hands and that Lucy was going to take care of her if anything were to go wrong. One thing that sticks out to me about Lucy is how every time she would walk into my grandma's room she would first ask how my grandma was doing, and then she would look around at the rest of my family and ask how the rest of us were doing and if we needed anything. Lucy was not there for just a paycheck, and it showed; she was there to take care of my grandma and my family. If I remember correctly, Lucy even traded a day that she was supposed to be off so that she could spend the last day with my grandma. She mourned the loss of our grandma like it was her own. My grandma was a hugger and I know if she was still around she would have given Lucy a big hug for helping her and our family. Lucy was nothing short of amazing!

I cannot thank Lucy for everything that she has done and I think about her every time that I think about my grandma. She went above and beyond and made an impact on my grandma and my family.
