Lucy understood what my dad was going through with his cancer because she had lived it with her son. She could answer questions I could not because of her life experiences. She took time to talk to him and help him understand what the doctors were saying and why things had to happen in the process that was taking place. She made him feel confident in the hospital when he was insecure due to unforeseen circumstances.
