We had so many wonderful doctors and nurses during our time here at Mercy General, but we want to give a special thanks to Lucy. Our story started in the ER at Mercy with chest and back pain and it turned out the patient had a pulmonary embolism which resulted in a 10 day stay in the hospital. Once released, the patient developed cholestasis and needed to be induced quickly. We met Lucy on the first night of the patient's induction, during which she made sure we were well informed and well taken care of. It was easy to see Lucy was invested in us and that she has a very caring heart. It also just so happened that Lucy was our nurse during the labor and delivery process. She always communicated with us about what was going on and seemed to predict what we needed. She was so encouraging and helpful and truly went above and beyond. We will never forget how she helped us bring our daughter into this world.
