Luis made me happy the minute he walked into the room. His smile, his empathy, and his presence. Already made me feel at ease. Being sick and in the hospital is never easy. It is even harder for some to come to visit while in the hospital. My husband is one of those as well, and he wants to support me and be there for me. Sometimes, it is extremely hard for him. Luis and my husband hit it off over sports and chatted for just a minute or two but it made all the difference to me. My husband was smiling and not looking stressed or worried, and he stayed a lot longer with me than he ever had before. Luis not only helped my husband, but he also helped me. Giving more time to foresee myself and being able to use this energy to heal and not stress. It meant the world to me. During my stay, Luis always had an amazing smile and a listening ear- attentive to my needs. And had the ability to ease my mind and feel confident about my care. I hope he does well here, and if I ever were back, I hope when I wake up or after I get to a room, he is the first person I see because I know I am in good hands.
