I would like to nominate Luis Magana for the DAISY Award for his unwavering dedication to the Emergency Room and his eagerness to learn and grow as a nurse. Recently, Luis went above and beyond during a trauma case involving a hemodynamically unstable patient. Without hesitation, he jumped in to support the primary nurse, skillfully assisting with patient care while still managing his own patient load. His ability to balance teamwork with responsibility is truly commendable. Luis consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a deep compassion for his patients. In this instance, he not only delivered excellent clinical care but also connected with the trauma patient on a personal level, asking about his life and family, offering comfort during a critical moment. Luis exemplifies what it means to be a DAISY Nurse through his clinical excellence, compassionate care, and commitment to the team.
