Luis went way above and beyond in caring for my husband. He has dementia, PD, AFIB, congestive heart failure, and is incontinent - bowel and bladder. Luis ensured my husband understood and felt confident about his numerous tests and scans (not an easy task). He conducted ultrasounds to check his bladder status and adjusted the bed to ensure gravity assisted his urination - something no other nurse has ever done.  

Luis was so wonderful and attentive to my husband that I contacted the charge nurse to request that he be assigned to him the next day.  

Houston Methodist is our hospital of choice, and Luis is our nurse of choice. 

Please give him the DAISY Award; he truly deserves it.
