My father’s move from acute care to hospice care was difficult. Luis was a shining light throughout.

He was deeply respectful, gentle, and kind even as my dad became increasingly demanding and as I kept melting down. Luis took the time to fully listen to my dad, even though my dad communicates by pointing at letters on a board.

When more pain relief was needed, he actively advocated for my dad to have his pain medication increased. He gently washed my dad’s head and face and handled cleanliness while continually maintaining my dad’s dignity.

Luis is the epitome of great nursing care, and I cannot thank him enough.
