Even though Luke was assigned to another floor that night, he stopped by Dad's room to check on him! Certainly, something he did not have to do! As a nurse myself, it's easy to do one of two things: 1) See only the negative, wondering why more wasn't done; or 2) understand the limits of the healthcare workers and know what they are dealing with. I hope I only chose the second option while we were there as that is what I aimed for. Thank you, Luke, for such compassion and the obvious love you have for the care of not only the patient but the entire family as well.
