Ning Javier is a clinical coordinator on the med-surg unit. Her work ethic is strong by reporting to work on time, being a positive team player, creating the night shift nurses' schedule, and before covid, was involved in unit projects. She has also played a significant role as a resource during various training initiatives. She is a clinical expert in her field in starting IVs and identifying key assessment points to provide better patient outcomes. Her top priorities are patient satisfaction, safety, and quality. She rounds on our patients and shares any potential service recovery opportunity with me and the staff to improve our patients’ experience. Ning completes the performance improvement indicators when she is able and focuses on keeping our patients safe. Ning always has suggestions for new perspectives or opportunities, and she is not afraid to share them and communicate them with me and with the staff. After Ning’s night shift, she still shows exemplary compassion and always reports the opportunities for service recovery of our patients. She will sit and go through each of our patients' requests or needs that were not able to be completed on the night shift. She cares about our team, as well. When staff share with her, she will share their concern with me so that we can discern together how we can approach the situation. She tries to come up with new ideas to keep our patients and staff safe; she made and brought in ultraviolet light and box to clean our stethoscopes, phones, pens, and IDs before we left the unit and went home. She comes in for special recognitions and celebrations for the staff and brings really yummy food to share. Ning puts her patients and team first. This is why Ning is a DAISY Nurse.
