Lu was my labor nurse for my third pregnancy. Of all the labor nurses I've had, she was hands down the best. She was incredibly supportive, listening to my needs and radiating positive energy. She was constantly lifting me up with her words and telling me how great I was doing. The nurse I had prior to Lu wouldn't let me get out of bed to labor. As soon as Lu came in, she told me I could labor however I felt comfortable. She told me I could get up immediately and went to find me a mobile monitoring unit so I didn't have to be stuck next to the bed. It made a huge difference for my labor and my mentality during it. I felt so comfortable and taken care of with her, and I felt like she truly cared about my well-being. She gave me such a wonderful birthing experience, and I wish she had been my nurse for my other labors as well. She's a wonderful nurse, and I believe she should definitely be recognized for her efforts.
