1) This candidate lives the adage, “the go-to person on the unit.” In the busyness of the shift, you can ALWAYS count on her to jump in even with her own full load. Patient safety and superb excellent care shine through in her every interaction. You can ask any patient she takes care of if there is someone that deserves recognition, and Tee’s name is mentioned every single time. Staff and patients alike love her because of her true genuine love for this job. Patients never wait for a thing with Tee. When someone has a question or concern about a process, a step in the journey, a med, or whatever the issue, she jumps through every hoop, working diligently and tirelessly to make sure the confusion is gone and the patient and families’ peace of mind remains first and foremost. We can have ten admits for the day, and you will never see Tee get excited, fussy, or overwhelmed. Cool-hand Luke should be her middle name because she is the calm in the storm. A patient once told me that Tee made him feel welcome, truly understood, cared for, and heard the entire time they were at EHRH. He stated that every nurse should want to be like her because she motivated him to recovery, never missing an opportunity to encourage, support, and be there during the entire stay. Being a nurse in today’s world is hard, and challenges are everywhere, but Tee sees a challenge and makes an opportunity for good. I would like to be like her when I grow up.
2) This candidate is a hard-working, determined-to-get-the-job done type of nurse. Whenever I look overwhelmed, they will ask me if I am okay and need any help. They have never left me by myself or hung out on a limb. They are a very sweet, down-to-earth, and always positive attitude. This person is amazing!
3) This candidate is always willing to help others; no matter what they have going on. They push me as a tech and have supported me in going to nursing school. They are always willing to teach me and show me new things.

Thank you, Lutezenia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
