Lydia was working as a postpartum nurse. She was caring for a baby whom she was concerned about. Lydia communicated her concerns. Lydia still felt there was something wrong with the baby and thanks to her advocacy, the team came together and decided to put the baby on a monitor. Ultimately, the baby was worked up and treated for sepsis. The symptoms were so subtle and easy to miss.
