I am writing to nominate Lydia for the DAISY Award for her extraordinary care and dedication to her patients. Recently, Lydia demonstrated exceptional clinical judgment and lifesaving skills that truly embody the spirit of this award.

After a patient came out of surgery, he was extremely anxious and struggling to breathe. Lydia trusted her instincts and took decisive action. Her thorough assessment and compassionate care made all the difference.

Lydia chose not to restrain the patient, instead opting to sit him up to better evaluate his condition. During her meticulous examination she found the problem. With quick thinking and a steady hand, she carefully removed an obstruction, instantly allowing the patient to breathe freely again.

Thanks to Lydia's exceptional skills and unwavering commitment, the patient was able to go home the same day.
