My sister recently delivered a baby boy in your L&D unit. I had the privilege of sharing in this experience with my sister and her husband, as we welcomed my little nephew into the world. I just wanted to take a moment to share with you how absolutely amazing my sister's nurse, Lydia, was. Lydia was friendly from the start and you could tell she genuinely enjoys her work. My sister had a long day of labor that led to some frequent decelerations at times. Lydia was so incredibly patient throughout the entire process. She helped keep my sister calm and was very creative with the positioning to aid in helping the baby get in better alignment. They got to a point in time where my sister needed to make some significant changes within the hour or they were ready to take her back to c-section as she was not responding to the Pitocin (and the baby wasn’t liking it either). It was voiced by several people that due to Lydia’s determination and creative mindset, she helped my sister through that hour successfully and it was baby time! My sister successfully delivered a healthy baby boy and was able to avoid a c-section. We cannot thank Lydia enough for the excellent care that she provided to my sister and her baby. I am so grateful for her patience, critical thinking, and dedication to doing what was best for my sister.
