May 2023 Honoree
Lydia Kercher, RN
My 83-year-old sister fell and broke her leg in two places. It was such a stressful time because my brother-in-law was also very fragile. This nurse went beyond the call of duty making sure we were comfortable and my sister was not in pain. She assisted me in getting my sister's slacks off without having to cut them and ruin a good pair of pants. She was always cordial, polite, and caring as we attended to my sister. With a full ward to care for this nurse made sure all of our needs were met, and immediately responded to our calls for help. I can’t say enough in praise for her devotion to her career and patients. You are very fortunate to have such a phenomenal employee.
Thank you, Lydia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
