Lydia broke down her tall trust walls, and Mom was extremely fond of Lydia.
Lydia is a very extraordinary caregiver for Hospice. My Mom could be a difficult personality. OSF had recently saved her from a very bad UTI, which advanced her dementia. She could hold a normal conversation but mixed with quite odd things. Lydia broke down her tall trust walls, and Mom was extremely fond of Lydia. Lydia was, sometimes, the only person who could calm my Mom down during episodes of great anxiety and confusion. Lydia helped me, Mom's POA and the only family (youngest and last living son) to understand medication issues and purposes. Lydia would come at all times to support Mom or me, in person or by text. My wife and I hold her in the highest esteem. She is literally one of the best people I have ever met in my 64 years. Lydia and Mom's main nursing home nurse were there when she passed, I didn't make it across town in time. Lydia took it quite hard, so I hope she is ok. She is very important to us and all who benefit from her care. She is very special.
