September 2018 Honoree
lydia sanchez, RN
My dad was in the 2 East Unit following an ER visit and subsequent spinal procedure. He is 87 with special needs (blindness in addition to a very painful spinal procedure). We found Lydia to be extremely compassionate, caring, and reassuring, with a fabulous demeanor. She followed through on all questions and promises with professionalism and cheer, which so important to a man who feels particularly isolated in a hospital environment, more so than the daily isolation the blind feel.
I cannot express enough our gratitude for her during my father's stay. It stood out immediately that she is the mode of how a nurse should comport herself. She has our greatest esteem. Exemplary!
