Lydie is an Administrative Nursing Supervisor working in the Psychiatric Department at Woodhull. She maintains high clinical standards in nursing practice over the past 34 years. She has implemented educational programs focusing on the care of psychiatric patients with co-morbidities. She is a member of the Psychiatry Investigation Committee which reviews occurrences on the inpatient psychiatric units and acts as an instructor for the crisis intervention class. Her leadership of her unit has created a calm, caring environment which aids in meeting the patient needs while decreasing the occurrence of violent outburst and staff injury. She is a role model for all nursing staff caring for complex psychiatric patients with multiple co-morbidities. Her comforting and calm demeanor creates a milieu for the healing and recovery of this patient population.
