Lynda's patient elected to be DNR and have inpatient hospice. The patient struggled to breathe throughout the day as she strived to stay alive, awaiting the arrival of her daughter that evening. Linda spent an extraordinary amount of time sitting with her, holding her hand, even singing to her to provide comfort. It was like she had all the time in the world for this lady.
