My mother was a patient on 2 South twice during the same month. The first time she was admitted was for anemia, and the second was for a hemicolectomy for colon cancer. At the time she was there, my family was impressed by the level of caring and individual attention she received. My mother felt the entire staff was exceptional, but my Sister mentioned Lynda really made sure our mother was safe and well cared for.

Her sense of humor and willingness to listen to our concerns and fears alleviated much of our stress. In July, she unfortunately had a complication and had to have emergency surgery for a volvulus. It's interesting to note that the inpatient stay in West Virginia did not rise to the superior care we received here at CVH. Not only did all providers communicate with us and truly make us feel like CVH epitomizes the patient-family centered care model.

Lynda's professionalism in nursing is a shining example of how lucky we are to have this community hospital.
