Lynda is an outstanding charge nurse as she leads the PICU with compassion, grace and intelligence. She always offers a helping hand and somehow is able to balance both the acute side and PICU side without showing any sides of stress. She makes everyone feel calm and confident in doing their job. She has taught me so much as well as all the other nurses on the floor. She is a team player to the max. One night we were extremely busy and it was near the end of our shift when we got an admit. She ended up taking that patient because she knew how swamped we were. Not only is she a real value to nurses and staff here at Dell Children's but also to the patients. She treats every patient with respect and empathy and shows outstanding nursing skills every single time. I love working with Lynda, and the patients and parents absolutely adore her as well.
