As always, we had an excellent team during our stay at CHOP which sadly was not our first. However, on our last and most difficult day, Leena was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make sure my son was comfortable and had everything he needed. She stayed with him while I ran to get coffee and again later in the day while I attended a class on caring for his tube. She patiently answered every question he asked and even unhooked everything to let him move around and go for a walk.

When I returned they were chatting away and he was even joking with her. He has never opened up to another staff member at CHOP as he did yesterday with Leena. He was tired after sleeping very little the night before and vomiting most of the day, he also thought he'd have to stay another night, so he was quite unhappy about it. She had him smiling and laughing regardless of the day's events and I am so grateful for everything she did for the both of us. She was outgoing and pleasant every time she came into the room which I really think helped him open up to her and feel comfortable with her.
