Lyndsey was an extraordinary nurse. I was re-hospitalized postpartum with pre-eclampsia and had a terrible migraine and stiff neck while there. Instead of just accepting my discomfort, Lyndsey never stopped trying to make the situation better for me. She offered ice and heat packs, cold washcloths for my swollen eyes, and a listening ear when I needed it. Lyndsey played the roles of therapist, patient advocate, and nurse and she wore all of those hats so effortlessly. During the 12 hours I was under Lyndsey's care, it became evident to me that she has a special gift as a nurse. Her competence with my complicated case and ability to help me understand what was happening to me was unlike anything I've ever experienced. She showed me great compassion and kindness. She is definitely a shining star among nurses and I will forever be grateful for her care during my emotional and scary experience.
