LC was our nurse for a few days. She checked on us and followed up to make sure we had everything we needed. She explained the procedures and processes that were to be done. Once we were ready to be discharged she confirmed that we had all of the prescriptions called to the pharmacy. She called to confirm with the cardiac doctor and had 3 more prescriptions called in. After we left the hospital and completed our trip to the pharmacy, I realized that the Lasix prescription was missing and called the 2nd-floor nurses’ station to ask about it. I talked to LC and LC called the doctor one more time to straighten everything out. LC exhibited knowledge, skills, kindness, caring, and compassion. We appreciated LC going above and beyond in getting all of our prescriptions ordered, called in, and ready for pick up. For us, it’s the little things like this that go a long way.
