May 2024 Honoree
Lynette Pietkiewicz, RN
My 32-year-old daughter was in the CVICU for a stroke. As you can imagine, it was heartbreaking and extremely emotional. Although we had several great nurses, Lynette was beyond amazing and always went above and beyond. She took her time with T and always explained what she was doing to her. She was amazing with my entire family and became a support to me. She always checked on T, even if she was not her nurse.
A situation that really stood out was the time Lynette was on lunch but stopped to check on T. T was miserable—uncomfortable and in dire need of mouth care and to be changed. Lynette changed her, cleaned her up well and got her super comfy, something she had not experienced all day, and then she did oral care for T. All of this was on her lunch! I can’t tell you how much my family appreciated all she did for T and us!

Thank you, Lynette, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
