Lynn Gentz is a wonderful and caring nurse. There are so many times we have witnessed her go above and beyond. Lynn selflessly cares for her patients taking care of every need. One patient, in particular, Lynn clearly went above and beyond.
On Rehab we had a 26-year-old male that had minimal family/friend support. He was very sick and ended up passing away a year after his discharge. During his Rehab stay, Lynn would use her breaks to take him outside. During one of these times, the patient cried and expressed gratitude by telling Lynn, "It's so nice to have someone who cares about me."
After his discharge, Lynn took him out for lunch and visited him at the LTAC facility he was staying at as well as visited him at St. Joe's when he became ill again. Lynn called to check on him with I'm sure much needed support. This poor young man passed away and Lynn attended the funeral. Lynn stood up and spoke at the funeral. I'm very positive Lynn made a world of difference to this young man and he was so lucky you have met her.
Lynn goes above and beyond for every single patient she takes care of, no matter how late she stays after her shift. She is one of the most amazing nurses I have ever worked with. Lynn is kind, caring and such a strong person. Beaumont is lucky to have her.
