I would like to send a huge shout-out to one of your absolutely outstanding nurses. Lynn represents everything an excellent nurse should be and is the person you want helping a loved one going through their rough last few days. My father passed away earlier this year while in her care and she was actually with him at the end, so he did not pass away alone. On behalf of me, my brother, my sister and most importantly, my dad, we would all like to thank everyone involved in his care. While my dad could still converse, he mentioned over and over how pleased he was with the care, respect, and compassion from all of your staff. He loved the room he was in and I appreciate all the effort from everyone, especially Lynn, who allowed him to spend his last days in a place where he was so happy staying.
During the last year and a half of his life, my dad had a lot of experiences with a lot of nurses from a lot of places. Lynn was his absolute favorite nurse. She is a shining star and the embodiment of what I think you would want Good Samaritan Hospital to stand for. Thank you, Lynn, and all involved with my dad. Sometimes it may be hard to realize how positively all those small acts of kindness and respectful interactions can impact a patient.
Note: This is Lynn's 2nd DAISY Award!
