Several characteristics of an RN come to my mind; compassion, empathy, service, and selfless acts. Lynn Nowland, RN the Care Coordinator who serves the Vernonia community exhibits all of these characteristics and continuously exceeds his duties. Lynn tirelessly shows up to work every day with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He lives the mission of Adventist Health through his works not only inside the clinic walls but his efforts to serve the Vernonia community. Lynn continues to serve the community of Vernonia by performing outreach to the homeless community within Vernonia. He finds solutions to difficult patient situations for the homeless community by delivering tents, prescriptions, lending his ear to those who need help, and assisting the homeless community in getting to appointments. He does daily rounds walking down main street in Vernonia rain or shine to serve those who often don't have a voice.
Lynn is a shining example of a model associate who will always jump in to help, has an uplifting spirit, and is truly what it means to live the mission of Adventist Health.
