Lynn is a veteran staff member from the CVICU beginning her nursing career here more than 20 years ago! Over the years Lynn has grown to be one of our most respected and dedicated employees. Clinically Lynn sets a very high bar for herself and challenges others to have the same standards. She is thorough, detailed and is extremely focused on all aspects of critical care nursing. She demonstrates the use of critical thinking skills in her everyday practice and this highlights her responsibility to the quality and safety of patients in our care. She encourages staff and holds them accountable for the work they provide.
Lynn is very well known for her interactions with her peers and colleagues. There is nothing that she would not do for her co-workers. Most importantly, she does not need to be asked. She anticipates the needs of others. Her patients and families appreciate the care and compassion that Lynn exhibits when providing care or answering questions. She is kind and helpful and will do all that is in her power to make a hospital stay as comfortable as possible. There is no one in this hospital that can tell a story the way that Lynn Seles can!
Lynn has high standards and expectations for herself and others. She always follows through and can be counted on no matter what situation is. As a charge nurse, Lynn runs a tight ship and is very aware of everything going on in the unit; even our physicians know when Lynn is the charge nurse. Lynn is a true professional who is a role model in every way. She lives each of our values in her personal and professional life, so this work comes naturally to her. She is dedicated and passionate about taking care of patients and people, and that includes all of us.
