She is the backbone of the night shift and I am so thankful for her. You can tell she is proud to be here and she is on a mission to fulfill her role. Lynne sympathizes and empathizes with this community.
Lynne is an all hands-on deck kind of leader. She strives to keep our patients safe. She Rounds to not only check on the Charge nurses, but also the staff members. During her Rounds, if call lights are going off, she abides by the 'no pass zone' and gladly offers her help. If we are having any trouble with confused patients, she will see if she can help redirect them. Lynne strives to make our 12 hours the best it can be. She brings spunk and positivity to the unit to help keep us motivated.
Lynne is very reliable. She is truly always a phone call away. Often Lynne will talk through situations that I am struggling with and I have witnessed her talk through situations with other RNs. She always has a listening ear and gives the best advice. When Lynne is working I feel supported and confident that we can conquer the night. She sets an example for what a leader should appear as. She has been a great addition to Centerpoint Medical Center.
Lynne always comes to the Unit readily available for whatever I have to ask/offer. She sets the tone for the night. She often asks how we are doing, if we can take more patients or if we need help on the Unit. She trusts our judgment and instills confidence to keep on going. I truly feel like I could ask for help with anything and she would roll up her sleeves ready to go. She truly cares not only for us but the patients on each unit. She strives for the best outcomes and prepares for the worst.
Lynne's expertise shines when I pick her brain about patients/situations on the Unit. She has quite the background and experience in the nursing field that can be utilized on each unit. She takes this role very seriously and never appears flustered or rushed. She is the backbone of the night shift and I am so thankful for her. You can tell she is proud to be here and she is on a mission to fulfill her role. Lynne sympathizes and empathizes with this community.
When I think about our mission statement: "Above all else we are committed to the care and improvement of human life" I truly believe that Lynne carries out this mission every day she steps into her role. She is committed to us staff members, she is committed to the well-being of our patients, and she strives to improve patient care with her expertise. Lynne does not ask anything of you that she wouldn't be willing to do herself. She is in line for compressions, she is ready to help turn patients, she is ready to assist with bed changes.
