September 2024 Honoree
Lynne Senftner, RN
My mother had a rough and 4th hospitalization. It ended with palliative and comfort care. I was with her every step of the way, working in each hospital room. When we entered comfort care, we were greeted by Lynne; my mom was unconscious but could slightly acknowledge. I was afraid. Lynne’s warmth and genuine concern made it easier. She wanted to know all about my mom and family. Her interest and concern helped me to feel that Mom and I were seen as people. She answered questions, asked about my well-being, and even checked on her when assigned to a different area. She told me it was a privilege to care for my mom and thanked me. She took a terrible situation and helped make it easier.
Thank you, Lynne, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
