Lynne Solaski, RN, OCN

Two patients from our ambulatory cancer center nominated Lynne for the DAISY Award. These patients stated that they bonded while receiving treatment and often talked about their nurse Lynne. Each patient described the difficult journey that cancer treatment put them on and how Lynne was able to help them “rally the courage to report for 6 hours of chemotherapy” in a “calm, reassuring and very professional manner”. Each patient has successfully completed treatment and moved on with their life. During the DAISY Award ceremony, one of the patients participated via an internet connection from Italy where she is now teaching, showing her support to Lynne who “made it easier for her to follow through and face her days.”
