From a patient’s note to Lynnetta: It has been 6 months since I had my heart attack and was wheeled into your unit and placed under your watchful eye and care as my journey to recovery began. That day, you saved my life and this letter is to thank you from the depths of my soul. You might feel that sometimes your job becomes mundane, boring or maybe even thankless, but I want you to know that since that day I have not stopped thinking and praying for you; and thanking God for the person you are. The talent and passion that you have for what you do to help others and the 'never give up' attitude is one that needs to be commended and praised.
I am truly thankful, grateful, and appreciative for all you did that day and I wish you and your family all the blessings God can bestow on someone. Don't ever lose the passion for what you do, it in itself is indeed God's gift placed in your hands, heart, soul, and mind. I'm so glad YOU chose to be a nurse and saved my life!
