August 2026 Honoree
Ma. Catherine Buriel, Infection Control Nurse
Ma'am Cath is a very reliable, caring, and cheerful Nurse. Thank you so much for taking care of us. She’s new here in Ward 7B, but we can really feel her care and concern for the patients and the carers.
Whenever she takes blood pressure, she always asks if we’ve eaten and slept well, including the watchers, so it’s always good vibes when she’s on duty. She’s compassionate, kind, and approachable.
From the first time we were in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, she really took good care of us. She is a very good Nurse clinically.
As a patient’s caregiver, whenever my patient's arthritis flares up and Ma’am Cath is on duty, I barely have to do anything. She immediately stands up whenever she sees the patient needs something, so I don’t have to, and the patient doesn’t have any difficulty either.
She updates us on the current situation and any issues.
