I am not used to being the one taken care of and out of control of the situation being that I am a physician. This whole hospitalization and process was terrifying for me. Emilia made my stay here so comfortable. She was extremely kind and compassionate, always making sure I had what I needed for my recovery. She provided guidance when I didn’t know or understand something. I think what was so outstanding for me was her ensuring I had the lactation accommodations to maintain my goal of providing nutrition to my infant at home, which may have been more challenging if I had a nurse who was not as supportive.
