From the time I met Zoe I can say that she has a good heart. She is my colleague for almost 7 years. What I observed from her is that she has a caring heart not only for the patient but also for the relatives.

There are instances that would prove that she cares a lot for the patient, if there is shortage of toiletries for the patient she will bring items for the patient and if the patient had no sitter and bedbound she will buy food for the patient with her own money. With regards to bedside care, she is so meticulous and will leave the patient and the environment very tidy.

One day I was making rounds in patient's room I noticed that her name tag on the hourly rounding board the patient had written there Zoe's name with a big heart.

I am in charge of collecting data for the hourly rounding and the survey. I've notice that most of the patients/relatives write her name as the most helpful nurse in the unit.

She is the most helpful staff in the unit, especially if it a busy day, you can depend on her. There are times that after she will help everyone, she will be the one left behind and stay late because she did not finished her documentation, and the staff she have given the help left her in the unit and went home. A person without break, she would rather finish her work, than take a 5 minutes break, even to take coffee.

Some of the doctors in the unit even wrote letters in recognition of Zoe and to nominate her as the DAISY Honoree. Ma Zoe Salarda is one person with "A Big Heart".
