This was a very scary time for me, but Maci showed so much compassion. She ensured that I would be okay and that it was best for my and my baby’s health.
I came in on April 14th with some issues with my pregnancy. Maci was kind and caring from the beginning. I ended up having to be admitted and stayed to have the baby. I was excited but nervous. She made sure I had everything I needed, whether it be a glass of water or a blanket, I always had it. Maci came back on shift the next morning, and I told her I felt pressure even though I had an epidural. She jumped in and checked me right away. She told me she would be right back and brought another nurse to check me as well. Maci let me know she wanted another opinion as she thought my baby was breech and I needed a C-section. This was a very scary time for me, but Maci showed so much compassion. She ensured that I would be okay and that it was best for my and my baby’s health. She got right on it, and there were people everywhere within minutes. While getting prepped for the surgery, Maci showed that she was committed to giving us the best care. After my four-day stay, she thanked me and told me she enjoyed taking care of me and my daughter. Seeing and hearing the care and commitment she gave during my stay proves she deserves this award.
