My mother was admitted to the ICU under dire circumstances. We knew the prognosis was not good. But because of Makenze's genuine care and concern for her patients, our experience at Schneck was as positive and uplifting as one could ask. Makenze was completely accessible and approachable, always willing to answer a question or a concern. Several times she seemed to anticipate our questions and was already working on a solution and or answer. Her knowledge of ICU patient care was obvious. Her compassion and genuine care for her patients and their families are remarkable and true. You can hire A+ nurses from college but when you get one who is as loving and caring as Makenze, you really have a DAISY.
