My daughter is being treated for Osteosarcoma, and this has obviously been a very hard time for her. Mackenzee is her primary nurse. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients.

My daughter wouldn’t speak to anyone at the hospital for months, except for Mackenzee. She has taken care of her as her nurse, but has become close to her like a big sister.

My daughter told me that she can’t wait to be done with her treatment, but that she is going to miss seeing Mackenzee. She said, “I hate that I have cancer, but if this never happened to me, I never would have met Mackenzee.” My heart melted!

Mackenzee has a bright smile on her face, no matter what. She encourages my little girl to keep pushing, even on the hardest days. She cheers her on, gets down on her level, lends an ear if she’s having a hard day, leaves her a note on the whiteboard if she will be leaving before she wakes up, and more.

She truly is just one of the most amazing people that we have ever had the privilege of meeting. We are so blessed to have her as our primary nurse!
