Mackenzie Bratcher 2, RN, ADN

Mackenzie was one of the night nurses who cared for our son during our stay. She immediately came in, checked on him, told me what to expect for our night, and asked if I had any questions. She was easily one of my favorites who took care of him. She was bubbly and down-to-earth. She explained the PICC line to me and made sure I was at ease. She made more work for herself by working around his schedule so I could feed, change, and get him back to sleep, and then get some sleep myself. She was so sweet and kind. I wish we could have had her every night. She was diligent about checking his PICC site, quietly so he wouldn’t wake. She was in before the IV alarms went off to avoid them blaring in the middle of the night, also. When he was awake, she would talk to him, while she worked rather than just do vitals and leave. She was caring and compassionate. She was a phenomenal nurse, and I know she will make a tremendously wonderful mom after watching her with him. We were blessed to have her and thank God for placing her in our path during such a scary and difficult time.
